Stonebriar Pharmaceutical Services is proud to announce it has achieved PCAB® accreditation, a service of the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), for non-sterile compounding. We are honored to receive this recognition of the pharmacy’s commitment to providing patients with the highest quality compounded preparations.
Achieving accreditation is a process by which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. PCAB® accreditation reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
Our accreditation, received on Dec. 13, 2018, reflects the quality and safety built into every step of our process, including:
- Employing experienced clinical pharmacists and registered pharmacy technicians who process and verify all orders
- Meeting all USP 795 non-sterile compounding standards
- Utilizing quality control processes to ensure order accuracy
Our PCAB® accreditation, along with our commitment to continuous compliance, significantly reduces risk and demonstrates our commitment to meeting the highest industry standards for quality and safety.
Established in 2007, PCAB was founded by eight of the nation’s leading pharmacy organizations to create voluntary quality accreditation designation for the compounding industry. The organization promotes, develops, and maintains principles, policies, and standards for improving the quality of pharmacy compounding nationwide. In 2014, PCAB accreditation became a service of Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), whereby ACHC administers the PCAB Accreditation program.
